Dark Green The Datejust is probably the most popular Rolex today, launched in the mid 1940s the brand DNA is ankered in the Oyster case with fluted bezel. The Datejust is a watch that goes with anything, from casual outfit to a Black tie attire, the watch that always looks good. Ladies love Datejusts, especially in steel and gold as they will go with most types of jewellery. Most vintage Datejusts for ladies comes in 26mm as this was the most popular size but there are also some in 31mm case diameter which feel a little more contemporary. The watch offered here is a 1978 Rolex Datejust in 31mm. The stainless steel case has a 18K fluted bezel and Oyster bracelet. The dial is special, the presumably initially black Sunburst dial has turned to a dark green hue that pops under the light. A very unusual and beautiful look. The watch is overall in very nice vintage condition and is a daily companion. A very dressy piece that doesn't come up often.
