Here is a really very old Gucci bag. VINTAGE. Everything about this bag harkens back to Gucci's origins when Guccio Gucci made detachable leather bags for horse saddles. The bag is in burgundy leather satchel style and the base of the shoulder strap is in the form of horse bits. A horse saddle is engraved on the clasp of the bag with the GUCCI label. The lining of the bag is in red velvet. There is an outer pocket that closes with a press stud. A pendant representing the Gucci coat of arms adorns the zipper of the inside pocket, the only pocket to have a fabric lining with the GG monogram. The serial number of the bag is made of gold. As it is a very old bag, the leather has some marks. This is truly a very well maintained collector's item, a beautiful piece of history.
